The Sandals Royal Bahamian in Nassau will reopen on Jan. 27, following a three-year, multimillion-dollar transformation.

"From an entirely new village of pastel-colored private villas and Coconut Grove, our new outdoor lounge and entertainment area, to our offshore island that has been transformed into a romantic hideaway, every point of guest touch and experience embodies this beautiful destination," said Adam Stewart, Sandals executive chairman.

"We're dialing up the luxury and leaning into the easygoing spirit of the Bahamas to deliver an authentic guest experience that makes love come easy."

New accommodations options include more than 200 renovated rooms and suites, the addition of swim-up suites in the freshly named East and West Bays and the new Island Village with private pools and butler-style villas, each named after an island in the Bahamas.

The Coconut Grove lounge area will feature live music and entertainment, views of the sea and three food trucks where guests can grab a treat and coffee at Sweets n Tings, indulge in Bahamian fusion cuisine and seafood at Coco Queen or opt for an Italian classic at Bahama Mamma Mia.

The Sandals Barefoot Cay private island will offer a beach bar, outdoor shower and the Aralia House restaurant, serving fresh seafood from boat to table and authentic Caribbean delicacies.

For early arrivals, the new Breakaway program includes a relaxation lounge with signature cocktails and a trip to the pool while Sandals' staff takes care of check-in.

At sunset, couples can participate in a traditional conch blowing ritual said to welcome love and good fortune, accompanied by rake and scrape music and Bahamian cocktails.

Sandals Royal Bahamian will offer 13 dining options, five of which are new, including La Plume for French cuisine, The Queen's Pearl traditional British pub, Kanoo for cuisine that celebrates the Caribbean region, Butch's Island Chop House for steaks and fish, and Soy for sushi.
