The W Fort Lauderdale opened on Thursday as the W brand's 30th hotel worldwide.
The beachfront hotel has 346 hotel rooms and 171 residences, all with views of the Atlantic Ocean, Intracoastal Waterway or downtown Fort Lauderdale.
Like other W hotels, the Fort Lauderdale property has a Whiskey Blue nightclub. Restaurateur Stephen Starr opened his first Florida restaurant, Steak 954, at the W Fort Lauderdale.
