Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts has opened its first
property in Southeast Asia, the Waldorf Astoria Bangkok.
Rising 60 stories above Bangkok's busy Ratchaprasong
intersection, the 171-room hotel features six dining and nightlife venues. They
include Front Room, which blends Nordic and Thai influences; traditional French
eatery The Brasserie; and Peacock Alley, a space modeled after the New York
original. The Peacock Alley in Bangkok serves pastries and afternoon tea.
The hotel's 55th floor houses Bull & Bear, a restaurant specializing in grilled meats and seafood, while New York-inspired The Loft
and The Champagne Bar are perched on the 56th and 57th floors, respectively.
Also of note is the property's Magnolia Ballroom, a soaring
7,900-square-foot space. Anchored by a dramatic staircase, the ballroom can
accommodate up to 700 guests standing or 330 guests seated.
In addition to the Bangkok hotel, Waldorf Astoria is
concurrently opening its first Las Vegas property, located in the former
Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas.
Waldorf Astoria's portfolio now includes just over 30
locations, with nearly 20 more in the pipeline.
