Walt Disney Travel Company has named Kenneth Svendsen president, replacing the retiring Randy Garfield.
Besides leading Walt Disney Travel Company, Svendsen will be responsible for travel agency, group and convention, and consumer-direct sales for the domestic parks and resorts, including Disney Vacation Club properties.
Svendsen was an executive at Walt Disney Parks and Resorts from 2006-09, most recently as senior vice president of worldwide travel operations and consumer-direct sales.
Before Disney rehired him, Svendsen was Hilton Worldwide’s global head of sales and reservations.
“We're excited for Kenneth to return to Walt Disney Parks and Resorts,” said Leslie Ferraro, executive vice president of global marketing and sales, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts. “Kenneth brings a wealth of experience, global leadership and a passion for driving business results.”
