The Westin Casuarina Resort & Spa on Grand Cayman is under new management following the appointment of Boston-based Pyramid Hotel Group.

The resort will remain part of the Westin franchise.

It is "business as usual," according to Larry Vitagliano of WMC Limited, an affiliate of Pyramid that is operating the hotel.

"There will be no disruptions for guests, bookings, events, staffing, vendors or suppliers. We want to ensure that the transition to the new management team does not inconvenience guests, function bookings or visitors to Seven Mile Beach," Vitaliano said.

The hotel faced foreclosure when former owner Columbia Sussex Corp. was unable to cover debt payments.
