Wyndham Hotel Group will relaunch its rewards program, giving customers a lower threshold to compile enough points for a free night.

Starting May 11, Wyndham Rewards members get a free night with 15,000 points, with no blackout dates. They earn 10 points per dollar spent or a minimum of 1,000 points per stay, whichever is greater.

Members who want to redeem their points sooner, or stay longer for less, can book a night at available hotels for 3,000 points plus cash.

Wyndham said its revamped loyalty program “lets members earn more and redeem faster than any other program in the industry.”

“Primary research tells us that 89% of travelers want to redeem their points for a free hotel night and that more than half feel that the majority of rewards feel unattainable,” said Josh Lesnick, executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Wyndham Hotel Group. “The new Wyndham Rewards program addresses these sentiments head-on.”

Wyndham Hotel Group said 7,500 hotels participate in its rewards program. The company’s brands are Wyndham, Wyndham Grand, Wyndham Garden, Tryp, Wingate, Hawthorn, Microtel Inn, Ramada, Baymont Inn, Days Inn, Super 8, Howard Johnson, Travelodge, Knights Inn and Dolce.
