Harteveldt leaves Forrester to form new research company

HenryHarteveldtTravel industry analyst Henry Harteveldt launched a new firm this month, Atmosphere Research Group, after almost 12 years with Forrester Research Group.

Harteveldt formed the company with two former colleagues, Jeffrey Breen and Rich Ridolfo.

Breen is the former president of Cambridge Aviation Research and chief technology officer of the Yankee Group. Ridlfo is the former director of product development at SH&E Consulting and vice president of global operations for Philips Healthcare.

The firm’s research focuses on marketing, customer service, operations and e-commerce, including travel distribution, Harteveldt said.

Harteveldt will continue to focus on airline and travel industry research at Atmosphere as executive vice president and chief research officer, while Ridolfo leads the firm’s healthcare practice. Breen will serve as president and CEO.
