Travelocity has launched a flash-sale product called Dashing Deals, providing a daily deal on hotels worldwide.
Travelers are able to book deals directly, instead of receiving a coupon or voucher for future travel. Travelocity said coupons and vouchers “can be tedious for hotels to manage and for travelers to redeem.”
Also, by allowing travelers to book at the time of purchase, travelers can select the dates they want.
Dashing Deals offers hotels at 50% or more off standard rates, and will often feature perks such as breakfast, show tickets or spa credits, Travelocity said.
Travelers can sign up for Dashing Deals alert emails or visit Travelocity’s website and mobile site to view and book the deal of the day.
Expedia and Groupon teamed up to launch a flash-sale product in July.
