Adventures by Disney is again reducing its number of departures, with about 250 departures across 18 destinations slated for 2011, compared with about 300 departures in 2010 and 400 in 2009.
In 2011, Adventures by Disney will not operate the 10-day Northern California itinerary, but the operator will add Egypt itineraries.
An eight-day vacation begins with three days in Cairo followed by a three-day cruise on the Nile River aboard a felucca. An additional night in Cairo finishes the trip.
A 10-day itinerary adds two days in Sharm el-Sheikh, a resort destination at the tip of the Sinai Peninsula at the Red Sea.
There are four scheduled departures for the eight-day itinerary in 2011 between April 19 and Dec. 27. An additional departure is scheduled for April 2012. There are five scheduled departures for the 10-day Egypt itinerary between April 26 and Dec. 20. Two additional departures are scheduled in 2012, one in March and one in April.
Prices range from $3,999 to $5,249 for adults (based on double occupancy) for the eight-day itinerary and from $4,999 to $6,289 for the 10-day trip.
Adventures by Disney will continue to offer its upscale Signature product line as well as its less expensive Gateway Collection in 2011. There will be five Signature departures for Costa Rica and four for Italy in 2011, and six Gateway departures for England and France, and five for Italy.
