Apple Vacations today launched new programs to lower deposits and let clients spread the cost of their trips across monthly payments.
The company said applications for the payment plans are available on its MyAppleOnline.com portal through a partnership with Uplift, a travel technology platform.
Once the traveler's application is approved, UpLift will pay the reservation in full and set up an automatic payment plan, Apple Vacations said in a press release. The plan is available now for travel beginning May 1 on departures 46 days or more away from the booking date.
"Getaways are essential for hard-working Americans and should not be out-of-reach," said John Tarkowski, president of Apple Vacations. "Apple Vacations' new payment initiatives help travelers fulfill their vacation dreams without having to endure a hefty financial burden all at once."
As for deposits, Apple Vacations said clients who purchase AV-OK Total Vacation Security need only make a $100 deposit on published air packages, compared to the usual deposit totaling 100% of the air cost plus $50 for the hotel. The plan also allows travelers to cancel or change their plans for any reason up to the time flight check-in is closed.
