Escorted tour operator Classic Journeys said it is incorporating testing into its international tours, which will help guests comply with a new federal regulation that requires all travelers to provide a negative Covid-19 test result prior to arriving in the U.S.

"In most cases, tests will be conducted in the comfort of a luxury hotel room, and results fast-tracked while [the guests] soak in hot springs, go for a nature hike, ride camels or whatever makes their vacations special," Edward Piegza, president of the company, said in a statement. "It will be in their hands well in advance of their flight home."

The statement said that Classic Journeys, which features tours throughout the world, works with local guides and hoteliers to make the arrangements.

Many hotel companies and packaged tour operators have announced similar initiatives.
