G Adventures has
appointed Ben Perlo to serve as the Canadian tour operator’s newly created role
of U.S. managing director.
Also, the company is moving its U.S. headquarters
from Providence, R.I., to Boston on April 1.
Perlo will be
responsible for managing the strategic, organizational and operational
direction of the U.S. team, and is charged with amplifying G Adventures’ growth
momentum in the U.S., which has become the tour operator's fourth-largest source market after the U.K.;
Australia and New Zealand; and Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
G Adventures said year-over-year U.S. sales grew 43% in January, the best month for U.S. sales in the company's 25-year history.
