Intrepid Travel announced Thursday that the company committed to no surcharges for most trips booked in 2026, as the rising cost of fuel impacts some airlines and cruise lines.
The tour operator will not add additional fees to existing or new bookings this year, with president of the Americas Leigh Barnes saying that travel should "feel exciting, not uncertain." Instead, Intrepid will absorb the cost of higher fuel.
"At its core, this is about doing right by our customers," Barnes said. "We believe in being upfront, standing by our pricing and giving travelers the confidence to book their next adventure."
The commitment applies to tour and flight-inclusive packages only, and does not include Polar trips and tailor-made itineraries.
