Pacific Delight Tours President Larry Kwan has retired, succeeded by Eric Oborski.
Kwan had served as president of Pacific Delight since 2009. He joined the company as senior vice president in 1973, having worked with the company’s late founder Francis Luk.
He also served as a member of the board of directors for the U.S. Tour Operators Association.
Oborski joined Pacific Delight in 2013 as an executive consultant on global destinations, guiding the company’s expansion into new markets.
He came to Pacific Delight from InContra, a tour company he co-founded with JALPak, a packaged-tour subsidiary of Japan Airlines. Oborski assumed full control of InContra in 2007.
As Pacific Delight’s president, Oborski plans to strengthen operations in several key markets, including Japan. He will also explore the possibility of bringing back tours to places Pacific Delight used to visit, including the Scandinavian countries and destinations in Africa.
Working with the trade will continue to be a priority.
“Larry and his team have cultivated a great relationship with the retail community, and we will continue to build on that as we roll out new destinations,” Oborski said.
Asia specialist Pacific Delight was founded in 1971.
