Roam by Tauck has opened bookings for its 2027 itineraries, expanding its collection for Gen X travelers.

The Tauck brand will grow its special programs from five to 12 in 2027. The collection is growing to six continents and includes land tours and river and small-ship cruising across Japan, New Zealand, South Africa, Mozambique, Switzerland, Italy and California.

CEO Jennifer Tombaugh said strong interest in the trips is being fueled by travel advisors.

The itineraries feature more downtime and flexibility than typical Tauck offerings. The trips will average 16 guests.

A 10-day Japan tour will visit Tokyo, Kyoto and the Seto Inland Sea, featuring a private visit to Kiyomizu-dera with a Buddhist monk, cycling across islands and an omakase dinner. Guests will stay at the Four Seasons Tokyo Otemachi; the Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto; and the Azumi Setoda, a 140-year old merchant estate on the Seto Inland Sea. The trip starts at $12,990 per person.

Guests who want to see Africa can spend 10 days in South Africa and Mozambique, traveling from wine country to reserve to beach. Trip highlights include climbing up Lion's Head in Cape Town, searching for the Big Five on game drives and enjoying a private dinner under the stars. Lodging includes One & Only Cape Town, Marataba Safari Lodge in Marakele National Park, and &Beyond Benguerra Island within Mozambique's Bazaruto Archipelago. Prices start at $14,990.

A 12-day small ship journey through Italy and Malta features exclusive, behind-the-scenes access to a recently uncovered area of Pompeii, a private evening at Palermo's Palazzo Francavilla and a boat tour through the Aeolian Islands. Guests will spend 10 nights onboard the Windstar Star Legend. The trip costs $12,990 per person.
