The Rocky Mountaineer luxury train in the U.S. has been renamed, and the route will be extended in 2026 to include Salt Lake City.
The train's name has been changed to Canyon Spirit, which "reflects the company's commitment to providing unforgettable train journeys through the American Southwest's most compelling landscapes that include rugged river canyons, red rock formations and the Colorado River," said parent company Armstrong Collective.
The Rockies to Red Rocks itinerary will add Salt Lake City starting April 21, 2026. The three-day trip between Denver and Salt Lake City will include overnight stops in Glenwood Springs, Colorado, and Moab, Utah. Prices start at $2,123.
Canyon Spirit will also offer a two-day route between Denver and Moab.
Armstrong Collective will continue to operate its three train routes in Western Canada under the Rocky Mountaineer brand.
