Scott Wiseman
Amid reports of a possible sale of Apple Leisure Group, one
of the company’s wholesalers, Travel Impressions, has hired a new president,
Scott Wiseman, and announced the resignation of Jeff Clarke.
Wiseman leaves luxury tour operator Cox & Kings, where
he had been president of the Americas since October 2012. Before that, Wiseman
was president of Abercrombie & Kent USA.
Wiseman will relocate to New York’s Long Island from Los
Angeles to take over the role.
“I am confident
Wiseman will be a strong leader for Travel Impressions,” said Peter Bowler, Apple
Leisure Group’s president of distribution, who will serve as interim president
until Wiseman takes over on Aug. 15. “Wiseman’s experience in key leadership
roles at high-end luxury tour businesses will complement Travel Impressions’
breadth of product and supplier relationships, catapulting the brand to new
heights.”
Clarke joined Travel Impressions as executive vice president
in June 2014. Prior to that, he served as vice president of sales and trade
support for Celebrity Cruises.
