LEXINGTON, Ky. -- ARTA has teamed with seven suppliers to launch
"Unwrap the World," a national campaign centered on marketing
travel gift certificates to consumers.
Auto Europe, Best Western International, Hilton Hotels Corp.,
Marriott Lodging Group, Maupintour, Royal Caribbean International
and SkyMed International are participating in the campaign, along
with 166 ARTA agencies.
ARTA said the participating agencies would receive a marketing
kit with sales tips and other collateral materials designed
encourage consumers to buy travel gift certificates good for
purchasing tours, cruises, car rentals and hotel
accommodations.
Consumers may purchase the travel certificates as graduation,
holiday or anniversary, gifts.
Pending approval by its board of directors, ARTA said it intends
offer an expanded version of the campaign later this year to
coincide with the holidays.
