Avoya Travel has partnered with the Priceline Partner Network, a business unit of Priceline.com, giving Avoya agents access to Priceline’s database of air, car and hotel inventory.

Van Anderson, co-founder of the host agency, said agents will access the commissionable inventory via an integration with Agent Power, Avoya’s operating system that includes booking engines and support resources.

“It’s going to be completely integrated into Agent Power, which is our proprietary and exclusive technology that the independent agencies use to run their independent businesses,” he said. 

All invoices and itineraries will be Avoya-branded, Anderson said.

Agents will still have access to Avoya’s roster of other suppliers, and are free to make bookings elsewhere, such as a GDS or supplier website.

“It’s a program that’s available to them, and we think that based on the response we had when we announced it at conference — which was a standing ovation — we think that this will be the program of choice for air, car and hotel,” Anderson said.

Agents will have access to agent rates and extras, with further details to be announced later, according to Anderson.

“I can say, in general, they’ll have access to more than they expect,” he said.

There is no cost associated with the integration for independent agencies.

The announcement of the partnership came during the company’s annual conference earlier this month in Port St. Lucie, Fla.

In addition to the Priceline partnership, Avoya announced several other initiatives during its conference, including the Agency Marketing Platform, which is at no cost to members. It is set to roll out in the third quarter of this year and will provide agents with marketing capabilities like personalized email and social media.

Avoya is also unveiling a new version of Agent Power. Agent Power 6 will feature a sleeker and more responsive design for a faster experience on mobile platforms, Avoya said.
