Millennials in Travel, a national group for young professionals in travel, has launched a jobs listing and is starting a New York City chapter.
The group said it launched the jobs program because it was receiving inquiries from companies targeting its members.
“We’ve formalized the process to make it easier for everyone,” said Joshua Smith, director of strategic development for the group.
Employers file forms about job openings, and Millennials members can access them on the organization’s website.
As for the New York chapter, the kick-off is Thursday, Jan. 30, at 6 p.m. at the Refinery Hotel in the Fashion District.
Leaders of the New York group are Michael Nobiletti with Rollinglobe.com, Dane Steele Green with Steele Luxury Travel, Thibaut Asso with Carlisle Bay, Stephanie Newby with Travel Leaders, Michael Coletta with Fantrotter.com and Phillip LaRue with American Express.
Millennials in Travel is open to young professionals in several businesses: travel agency, tour operator, cruise line, hotel, tourism board, agency consortium, airline, travel publication, travel marketing firm or travel representation company.
It has chapters in Atlanta, Calgary, Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Miami, Phoenix, San Diego and Washington, D.C.
