Passport Online, which introduced ESP, an automated social media posting program for travel agents, in June, is reporting that its posts are attracting hundreds of thousands of views for participating agencies.
One post attracted 900,000 consumer views on participating agency pages, according to Marilyn Macallair, vice president of business development for Passport Online. Posts have generated more than 400 comments from viewers. And agents are reporting that they are getting sales related to posts.
"I had a client call me to make an Ireland booking after the 'which would rather see in Ireland' post," said Justin Dean of Destiny Sands Travel. "They said, 'I didn't even know you sold Ireland until I saw that post.' "
ESP is part of Passport Online's services for travel agencies. It offers Web content, email marketing and social media solutions for travel agencies and has a preferred-supplier relationship with 10 consortia and franchise groups.
