The Travel Institute named five new members to its board
of trustees on Wednesday.
The new members are Terry Berggren, director of client
experience at RUF Strategic Solutions; Laurie Bohn, director of national sales
and training at Royal Caribbean International; Jackie Friedman, president of
Nexion; Sheri Selkirk, vice president of hosting programs at Brownell Travel;
and Debbie Wilson, professor and department chair at Los Medanos College.
Brian Robb, Travel Institute chairman and principal at
the Robb Aspect, said in that the new appointees offer a wide variety of
experience in the travel industry.
“We are excited about their unique insights and the
market intelligence they will be sharing to create a thriving future, not just
for the Travel Institute, but our entire travel community,” he said.
In addition to Robb, the remaining board members are also
members of the executive committee. They are Scott Ahlsmith, a technical
strategist and past chair; Jack Mannix, president of Mannix & Associates
and immediate past chair; Gary Pollard, president of Ambassador Tours and
current vice chair; and Horst Schulze, CEO of Capella Hotel Group.
