Virtuoso has rebranded its Virtuoso Voyager Club, a
cruise enhancement program, as Virtuoso Voyages.
New elements have been added
to the program, like the opportunity to be designated as a Virtuoso Voyages
The program gives Virtuoso agents access to
complimentary benefits on certain sailings. This year, it offers over 375
sailings on luxury ocean lines and river and specialty cruises, and shore
events in 87 ports in 46 countries. In contrast, the Voyager Club launched in
1990 with 15 sailings.
There are 10 participating cruise lines. Four are new
this year: Cunard Line, Holland America Line, Uniworld Boutique River Cruise
Collection and Windstar Cruises. Also participating are Azamara Club Cruises,
Crystal Cruises, Paul Gauguin Cruises, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Seabourn and
Silversea Cruises. AmaWaterways will join the program in 2017.
Virtuoso Voyages offers amenities that are worth up to
$800 per couple, as well as options like shore events and in-port tours. Each
departure is accompanied by a Virtuoso host and includes two private onboard
social events. New is a farewell reception where clients can book their next
cruise. Also new is an element that offers pre- and post-cruise packages at
popular European ports.
Client registration has been simplified as all forms
and information are now housed on Virtuoso.com, with a redesigned interface and
simplified cruise search.
Later this spring, a sales directory — to be used as a
reference guide and marketing tool – will be made available to agents online.
Additionally, a video for agents to share with their clients discussing the
perks of sailing on a Virtuoso Voyage was also recently released.
“Virtuoso decided to refresh the program so that more
advisers can leverage it as a key sales tool, while also allowing more clients
to discover its value,” David Powers, director of cruise programs at Virtuoso,
said in a statement.
