Celebrity Cruises is sponsoring ASTA Premium Membership upgrades for 10 agencies across the country.

"We could not be more thrilled to sponsor and support this incredible list of travel agents who are working to take their businesses to the next level," Dondra Ritzenthaler, Celebrity's senior vice president of sales, trade support and service, North America, said in a statement. "As the leading modern luxury cruise line, it makes perfect sense to get behind these amazing agencies and have them upgraded to the premium level, in typical Celebrity style."

According to ASTA, Premium Membership "provides the top representation, access to time-sensitive information being considered in government and industry and elite access for peer-to-peer networking across the industry."

Ann Chamberlin, senior vice president of membership and strategic partnerships at ASTA, thanked Celebrity for its commitment to the Society's agents. Celebrity and ASTA worked together to choose the agencies whose memberships will be upgraded.

The agencies that were selected are Bon Voyage Travel, Tucson, Ariz.; Pavlus Travel & Cruise, Albuquerque, N.M.; Online Vacation Center, Fort Lauderdale; Cruise Specialists, Seattle; American Discount Cruises & Travel, Englishtown, N.J.; Touraid Travel, Plattsburgh, N.Y.; Alice Travel, Fairfield, N.J.; Crown Cruise Vacations, Princeton, N.J.; Cruise Vacation Outlet, Orlando; and Gulliver's Travel Service, Fort Worth, Texas.

Travel agency membership dues to ASTA are based on annual sales volume and start at $330 per year. Premium Memberships come at an additional price (though agencies with over $50 million in annual sales are automatically Premium Members). Individual agents who contract with ASTA Premium Members or NACTA members can join as individuals for $199 per year with a two-year commitment.
