Hilton Honors has just modified its upgrade capability, building on its Automated Upgrade program.
The new "Upgrade at Digital Check-In" program has been implemented across the Hilton global portfolio, giving Gold, Diamond, and Diamond Reserve Members a complimentary upgrade opportunity, directly within the Hilton Honors app during the digital check-in experience.
In short, eligible members can view both complimentary and paid upgrade options during digital check-in, clearly defining what’s available at the time of check-in.
Hilton says the program will continue to evolve as it gathers member feedback and insights.
Hilton Honors also recently introduced Confirmable Upgrade Rewards (CUR), a new 2026 benefit designed for its most elite members. It allows for a guaranteed upgrade of up to a one-bedroom suite at booking, for stays of up to seven nights.
Confirmable Upgrade Rewards can be redeemed across Hilton’s direct booking channels, including Hilton.com, the Hilton Honors app, WeChat and Hilton Reservations & Customer Care Center.
Confirmable Upgrade Rewards can also be used on both eligible paid and reward stays at select global Hilton properties offering complimentary pre-arrival upgrades. This includes hotels across the company’s luxury portfolio, including brands like Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, LXR Hotels & Resorts, NoMad and Signia by Hilton.
Members can earn Confirmable Upgrade Rewards by achieving Diamond Reserve status, reaching the 120-night milestone reward or receiving a transfer or gift of a Confirmable Upgrade Reward from another Hilton Honors member.
