If you’re a sports book in Las Vegas, how do you stand out from the pack? Do you offer discounted beer buckets, free chicken wings at halftime or live cheerleaders encouraging you to go for that 10-team parlay?
If you’re the Red Rock Resort Sports Book, you install massive Ultra HD displays to make the viewing experience so real you practically flinch when a wide receiver tumbles onto the sideline.
Just in time for football season, Red Rock’s Race and Sports Book has undergone a major makeover. Gone are the 18 projectors that broadcast games onto the venue’s walls, replaced by three 17-foot by 31-foot displays for a total screen size that’s almost as long as the new extra-point kicking distance. The new screens maximize the viewable action and show off the book’s odds, with an 18-inch ticker running beneath to broadcast up-to-the-minute sports news. Created by NanoLumens, the 2.5mm Nanoslim Engage LED screens offer better clarity and brightness, as well as lower energy costs. Which is always a good bet, even if that parlay doesn’t pan out.
