Yesawich, Mancini sign on for Travel Weekly Summit

September 29, 2008

Peter YesawichPeter Yesawich, the nation's leading seer on leisure travel trends, and Marc Mancini, Ph.D, the industry's most prominent educator, have both signed on to make presentations during Travel Weekly's Virtual Leisure Summit on Oct. 20 and 21. And Travel Weekly readers can participate in these webinar sessions, asking questions and contributing their insights.

Travel agents can register to hear -- and interact -- with these presenters and other industry experts on Oct. 20 and 21 without ever leaving their desks by simply registering for this online conference. There is no fee to register.

"Peter will be presenting key findings from the Ypartnership and Yankelovich 2008 National Leisure Monitor," said Travel Weekly Editor in Chief Arnie Weissmann. "The Monitor provides tremendous insight into how and why consumers purchase travel. And Marc will help agents sharpen their selling skills for packaged vacations -- everything from tours to all-inclusives."

In addition to educational sessions, the Summit will include a highly-focused tradeshow, limited to only 25 relevant exhibitors, and chat rooms featuring opportunities for travel agents to exchange ideas among themselves and with Travel Weekly reporters and editors on hot industry topics.

Participants can also join conversations between Weissmann and industry figures, including Americas Vacation Center co-President Van Anderson, YTB President Kim Sorensen and NACTA President Scott Koepf (all on the topic of the future of home agents) and with Vacation.com CEO Steven Tracas and Ensemble CEO Jack Mannix on the future of cruising.
