Antigua-Montserrat ferry service begins Dec. 7

By Gay Nagle Myers

Getting to and from Montserrat this winter has gotten a lot easier.

Ferry service will launch Dec. 7 with three trips a week between Antigua and Montserrat; the service will operate six days a week from Dec. 7 to 31.

In January, the MV Fjortof, a vessel owned by the governments of Montserrat and Antigua and Barbuda, will offer two roundtrips three days a week with additional service on peak travel days and for special events.

Roundtrip fares for the 75-minute ferry trips are $115.

In addition to the ferry service and daily Winair flights, Fly Montserrat will offer a daily roundtrip flight between Antigua and Montserrat from Dec. 1 to 15 with a second daily flight to be added on Dec. 16.

Roundtrip fares start at $110 plus taxes; for information, visit www.flymontserrat.com.
