Another Carnival Cruise Lines ship, the Legend, is having technical problems.

The Legend is sailing back to Tampa with reduced power due to a problem with the ship’s propulsion system, Carnival said. The ship’s hotel services are operating normally, the cruise line said.

Carnival skipped a call in Grand Cayman on Friday because of the problem. The Legend is expected to arrive in Tampa on Sunday as scheduled; the ship departed Tampa last Sunday for a seven-day cruise.

The problem with the Legend’s propulsion system comes one day after a Carnival Dream cruise ended in St. Maarten due to a problem with the emergency diesel generator, and a little more than a month after an engine-room fire left the Carnival Triumph stranded in the Gulf of Mexico.
