Carnival Corp. plans to sell the Costa Marina, a 772-passenger ship that entered service for Costa Cruises in 1990.

As of November, the Marina no longer will be part of the fleet. Costa has not disclosed the buyer or the sale price.

Earlier this week, Carnival Corp. ordered a 3,700-passenger ship for Costa that is scheduled to enter service in October 2014.
