Norwegian Epic to feature Legends in Concert production

By Johanna Jainchill

Norwegian Cruise Line revealed two new entertainment offerings for the Norwegian Epic, which will be the line’s largest ship when it debuts in summer 2010.

Howl at the Moon, described as a "rock 'n' roll dueling piano show," will perform four shows per cruise in the Epic’s Headliner Comedy Club venue.

Legends in Concert, a tribute show featuring celebrity impersonators, will perform in the ship’s Manhattan Room.

The Legends show has been performing in Las Vegas for 25 years, impersonating singers such as Elvis Presley, Rod Stewart, Madonna and Barry White.

NCL made its announcement on Friday during a live webcast that included videos of the two groups performing.

Andy Stuart, NCL’s executive vice president of global sales and passenger services, asked webcast listeners to submit suggestions for singers to whom the Legend’s first shows should pay tribute.

The winner was Tina Tuner, followed by Elvis at a close second.
