Oceania says it set one-day sales record

By Tom Stieghorst
Oceania Cruises said it set a one-day record for bookings on Wednesday, after announcing its 2013-14 winter season itineraries.

A spokeswoman said bookings were 25% ahead of the most recent launch at Oceania.

The line is offering 2-for-1 deposits, bonus savings of up to $5,000 per stateroom and free prepaid gratuities for reservations made by Dec. 31.

Oceania is offering 18 new itineraries on 65 voyages between December 2013 and May 2014.

The bonus savings is higher than the $3,500 offered on Oceania's summer 2013 season in Europe, Alaska and the Americas, but is the same as this season's winter cruises.
