Silversea Cruises President Amerigo Perasso resigned this week, Silversea confirmed today.

His departure comes six months after the line took delivery of its first newbuild since 2001, the Silver Spirit.

The resignation also comes shortly after Enzo Visone, previously CEO of beverage company Campari Group, was appointed executive chairman of Silversea, replacing Manfredi Lefebvre, who remained on the board as deputy chairman.

Just over a year ago, a major shakeup at Silversea resulted in the appointment of Ken Watson to COO and executive vice president, and the departures of two top sales executives, David Morris and Marilyn Conroy.

“It is with regret that we communicate the resignation of Amerigo Perasso as president and CEO of Silversea Cruises. After 13 years of dedicated service, Amerigo has decided that he needs to move on and find new challenges and the renewed stimulus for further professional development.”
