The 114,500-ton Costa Pacifica entered service in Italy in June 2009 as a sister to Costa Serena, and later, Costa Favolosa and Costa Fascinosa. With a passenger capacity of 3,012 and 1,100 crew, the ship sails along at 20 knots on weekly Western Mediterranean cruises from Civitavecchia (Rome).
