A trainer at SeaWorld in Orlando has been killed by an orca, according to CNN.
The whale grabbed the trainer, thrashed her around and then dragged her under the water. The trainer was pronounced dead on the scene by rescue authorities.
The incident occurred before the start of the afternoon show at Shamu Stadium, although there were people already gathered in stadium seats.
Sea World has been closed by park authorities.
