Hotel Metropole Monte-Carlo will unveil Odyssey, a new outdoor space designed by celebrated fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, on April 19.
Odyssey will feature a heated, seawater swimming pool with a 60-foot mural created by Lagerfeld, who is most famous as the designer for Chanel. A restaurant, Joel Robuchon’s third within the hotel, opens June 1.
Odyssey will be open only to hotel guests and members of the Metropole ESPA Monte-Carlo; the exception is summer, and from June through September it will morph into a cocktail bar with live music and guest DJs in the evenings.
From the end of September through early spring, a retractable roof will cover the pool area.
Hotel rates start at about $560 per room per night, double.
