Situated on a busy thoroughfare east of the Intracoastal Waterway and the less desirable Renaissance Fort Lauderdale Marina Marriott, this independent hotel, formerly a Hyatt Regency, remains a champion of cruise ship passengers, both coming and going.
The hotel was closed for nearly seven years following Hurricane Irma in 2017 but reemerged in 2025 following an extensive renovation. The historic 17-story tower has been restored to its original mid-century glory, and the revolving rooftop lounge is once again serving up caviar and cocktails with an iconic panoramic 360-degree view.
