Turen's Seabourn tale left this reader skeptical

I'm sure Mr. Turen's column on the lack of press coverage for truly incredible staff service on the Triumph was spot on [Reality Check: "No triumph for CNN," March 14]. As we all know, press coverage sensationalizes horrific events, thus missing true heroism that deserves coverage.

Turen had me until he continued with Seabourn's handling of a cruise problem. I found it hysterical to read his tale of "boxes of cash" awaiting the vice president of McDonald's so that despite all his inconvenience, he could have some sort of vacation. Hmm. I'm skeptical that the president of Seabourn would, first, helicopter me off the ship, and then be awaiting my arrival at a five-star property.

If I had a group aboard with similar circumstances, would he be ready to provide cash to hand out to my clients? Yet, would mine be any less important than Mr. McDonald's Vice President?

Ha! A funny column to say the least.
