Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto launched its summer camp program for guests ages 8 to 18.
The six-week Guaycura adventure program, named after the native people who occupied the region in Baja California Sur before the arrival of the Spanish in the 1700s, runs from July 14 to Aug. 18 in one-week segments. It offers a variety of outdoor and cultural activities, including nature hikes with basic survival techniques, a visit to Loreto’s 1697 mission, cooking classes and bonfires, a treasure hunt, water activities and Aztec dance lessons.
“Children will be engaged through a range of hands-on activities and excursions in a remote, natural setting,” said Carlos Velasco, activity director and camp creator. “Parents can enjoy our resort or the spa, knowing their kids are having fun too.”
Camp fees are priced from $699 for the first child and $650 per additional child.
The camp rate covers meals, drinks, accommodations and all camp activities for kids; adult rates begin at $933 per person, double, including all-inclusive meal plan, resort activities and entertainment.
