For clients with deep pockets, Rosewood Mayakoba’s new Casa Laguna suite on a private lagoon may be the ideal getaway.
Set to open Sept. 30, the 9,400-square-foot oasis is built of natural stone and wood indigenous to the region.
Accessed by boat that departs near the property's lobby, Casa Laguna guests will arrive at their private dock to be greeted by a dedicated staff of five, comprising a culinary team, a butler and housekeepers.
Guests may also arrive via private golf cart, on foot or on a bike path.
“Casa Laguna is the crown jewel among our 128 luxury suites,” said Graeme Davis, regional vice president and managing director. “This villa is for our most discerning guests looking for privacy, luxury and total relaxation.”
The two-level floor plan features an expansive living and dining room with floor to ceiling windows, a chef’s kitchen for those who prefer to dine in the retreat, three bedrooms, including two master suites with en suite bathrooms, and a media room with a 70-inch screen and a library of movies.
Outside, 3,000 square feet of outdoor space features a private pool, an outdoor shower and a dining deck.
At this time, there are no plans for additional Casa Laguna-type suites, according to Davis.
Rates for Casa Laguna in Mexico’s Riviera Maya start at $12,000 per night.
