Azura Retreats is expanding its luxury portfolio of boutique hotels to Tanzania on June 1 with the opening of the Azura Selous Game Reserve.
Azura will be refurbishing the existing Amara Selous, which is located on the banks of the Ruaha River. The 12 luxury, tented suites, each with private pool and river views, will be upgraded to reflect Azura’s style over the course of the next few months.
Azura Selous Game Reserve will complement the company’s existing properties in Mozambique.
“Most of our clients are looking for a bush and beach combination, and with Azura Quilalea Private Island [off the coast of Mozambique) so easily reached from the Selous … this seemed the perfect combination,” said Christopher Bettany, managing director of Azura.
