Tongabezi Lodge and Bundu Adventure Specialists in Zambia have joined forces to offer a combination package to Victoria Falls, Above and Below the Spray.
Travelers will have an opportunity to see the falls from the bottom of the gorge as well as be allowed to swim in the rock pools below. The Bundu portion of the trip begins with a walk down Batoka Gorge where travelers will paddle in rafts across the boiling pot and then canyon through a series of rock pools or walk on boulders depending on water levels and preferences to the cascades.
Part two of the adventure begins at Livingstone Island, touted as the most unique picnic spot on the planet and where only 16 guests can visit at any one time. The view from Tongabezi’s picnic table sees diners surrounded by water plunging 338 feet into the Batoka Gorge.
Adventurers will enjoy a dive into the Devil’s Pool, a phenomenon where the rushing currents go around a natural pool of water at the lip of the falls instead of through it, giving swimmers a bird’s eye view of the largest curtain of falling water in the world.
