Applications
are now being accepted for Northstar Travel Group’s annual Global Travel
Marketplace and Global Travel Marketplace West events.
GTM West will be at the Westin La Paloma Resort &
Spa in Tucson, Ariz., May 4-6. GTM will be at the Diplomat Resort & Spa in
Fort Lauderdale, Aug. 21-23.
A limited number of top-performing travel advisers
will be invited to participate in these boutique events featuring one-on-one
scheduled meetings with suppliers — 100 to 125 for GTM, and 75 to 100 for GTM
West.
“Through both events last year, we helped facilitate
more than 10,000 one-on-one meetings, and we know significant business has
resulted from those engagements. The GTM platform is a winning formula for
suppliers and travel advisers, and we are anticipating early sellouts for both
events this year,” said Alicia Evanko-Lewis, senior vice president of events,
Travel Group, Northstar Travel Group.
Advisers will be able to meet new suppliers, build
upon relationships with suppliers they know already, and network with peers.
Advisers must have $1 million in annual sales to
qualify for GTM, and $800,000 in annual sales for GTM West. Or, a participant
can be an owner of a multimillion-dollar agency who actively books travel. All
attendees must have the authority to make product and partner decisions.
Each event includes two days of meetings. Advisers can
have up to 50 face-to-face meetings, each of which lasts 6 minutes.
Advisers also participate in a number of boardroom
presentations, in which suppliers meet with roughly a dozen advisers in a
collaborative and interactive environment.
Selected advisers are fully hosted, receiving
roundtrip air, a three-night hotel stay, meals, networking opportunities and
invitations to events.
GTM West is for travel advisers from Texas, Oklahoma,
Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming,
Montana, Arizona, Utah, Idaho, Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington, Alaska,
Hawaii, and the Canadian provinces of British Columbia, Alberta and
Saskatchewan.
GTM accepting advisers from throughout the U.S. and
Canada.
Advisers can apply at www.globaltravelmarketplace.com,
providing supplier references and information about their annual bookings. The
next step is a one-on-one telephone interview.
