AA to launch Miami-Seattle service

American Airlines will begin flying daily between Seattle and Miami on June 14.

The Seattle-Miami portion of American’s service will be a red-eye; the return trip will be an evening flight.

American will use Boeing 757 aircraft with 22 business-class seats and 166 economy seats.

Alaska Airlines is dropping its Seattle-Miami route on July 16, and will instead fly between Seattle and Fort Lauderdale. Alaska is switching to Fort Lauderdale because of lower costs to operate there.
