France's civil aviation authority says flights in and out of Paris' two main airports were being canceled Thursday due to a strike by air traffic controllers, according to the Associated Press.

Fifteen percent of Charles de Gaulle flights and half of Orly flights are to be canceled Thursday, the second day of the strike. The strike is expected to end Friday morning.

Air traffic controllers are protesting job cuts and reforms that they fear could change their status as French civil servants.
