Allegiant Air is expanding operations in Oakland, Calif., adding seven nonstop routes beginning April 25.

The new cities are Billings, Bozeman, Kalispell and Missoula, Mont.; Medford and Redmond, Ore.; and Idaho Falls, Idaho.

The low-cost carrier currently flies between Oakland and Eugene, Ore.; Bellingham, Wash.; and Mesa, Ariz.

As part of its Oakland expansion, Allegiant plans to secure additional space in Terminal 1.

Allegiant specializes in leisure travel to major destinations from secondary U.S. airports.

Oakland Mayor Jean Quan said, “We are delighted that Allegiant has decided to focus on Oakland International Airport as the best gateway to Bay Area tourism.”
