Airports in Nassau and Grand Bahama Island are expected to be back in operation on Friday morning.

Assessments of airports throughout the other islands are under way, according to the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism.

Cruise ports in Nassau and Grand Bahama are expected to reopen Thursday evening, and ships are anticipated to resume calls on Saturday.

On Paradise Island, the 3,400-room Atlantis still is assessing the storm's impact, but a spokesperson said damage is "minimal."

Atlantis hopes to check in guests on Friday, but if the airport in Nassau has not reopened, the resort is offering a one-year credit for those who cancel or postpone reservations.
