Continental expands Cleveland service

Continental Airlines on April 6 will begin daily service from its Cleveland hub to four new cities: Birmingham, Ala.; Charleston, S.C.; Green Bay, Wis.; and Tulsa, Okla.

Flights will be operated by 50-seat Continental Express regional jets.

The new cities are part of Continental's expansion program underway at Cleveland. New service from Cleveland to Greensboro, N.C.; Omaha, Neb.; and Savannah, Ga., began in March. On May 22, the airline will launch service to Paris, the second city in Europe with nonstop flights from Cleveland (Continental also flies to London Gatwick from Cleveland).
