Virgin America enters crowded San Jose-L.A. market

Virgin America on May 1 will launch operations in San Jose, Calif., operating four daily flights to Los Angeles.

“San Jose International Airport is important for Silicon Valley business travelers, and it deserves more flight options,” said Virgin America CEO David Cush.

The San Jose-Los Angeles market is already a fiercely contested one, with Southwest, Alaska Airlines, United and American operating flights between the two cities.
