Enterprise Holdings took a nearly 15 percent stake in China-based rental car firm eHi AutoServices.

Enterprise said the move enables it to "offer eHi's services to its business and leisure customers whose travels take them to China."

With a fleet of more than 7,600 vehicles, eHi at the end of 2011 operated in 48 Chinese cities. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
